Small Group Faith Sharing Opportunity
Host Leaders Needed
While we are still in the Christmas season, we must be mindful that Lent begins next month (February).
We are looking to start small faith-sharing groups to journey through Lent. Some of you may remember “Disciples on Mission,” or perhaps you have participated in small faith-sharing groups in the past at a different parish. We are looking for families, couples, moms, individuals, or anyone willing to host a small gathering on the date, place, and time of their choosing. We will be using the Formed.org platform, and the series is titled "How to Lent.” While this series discusses the three pillars of Lent and would best be suited to be viewed before Lent, we feel that even if we look at the pillars during Lent, you may have a more fruitful experience.
In this series, there are four short videos, which can be viewed. Following the video, the group discusses what they viewed.
If you are interested in hosting a small group, click HERE to sign up.
We would like to have all group leaders by January 25th, so that we may offer the groups for signup before Ash Wednesday.

The Saint Paul’s Men’s Group is an informal assembly of men (ages 20-80) that gets together usually twice a month on Saturday mornings (7:30am – 9:00am) from September through May/June in the Parish Hall. The group discussions are focused on exploring and learning about Catholic teaching in the Catechism and the Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church. We discuss a variety of topics all related to Catholic dogma and doctrine. We don’t have any dues, take roll call, or require home study; good (free) coffee and pastries; come join us at any time to further deepen your understanding of our Catholic faith and enjoy the company of our dynamic group. Interested or questions, please contact Andy.
Upcoming Meeting Dates: January 17th & 31st.

Thesis: Every man and woman is called to serve the greater glory of God by their lives. Certain talents are given to each one of us conducive to the mission we are called to fulfill, but it is our responsibility to discern and discover what that mission is through study, prayer, and most importantly, listening for God's Call. In this special Theology on Tap presentation, we will learn exactly how to accomplish that in our own personal modes of life.
More information to come, stay tuned for communications from the Fayetteville Catholic Young Adult Group!

Group Book Discussion Opportunity
Please join us to read and discuss Gaze Upon Jesus Edited by Kelly M. Wahlquist as the next book during October-February.
“In Gaze Upon Jesus, we will experience the Incarnation and early years of Jesus through the eyes of women (factual and fictional) who were present from the time of the announcement of the angel Gabriel until the moment the teenager Jesus was found in the temple.”
Book: Gaze Upon Jesus Edited by Kelly M. Wahlquist; published by Ava Maria Press; ISBN: 978-1-59471-829-8
Format: The book centers around the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary. Each chapter dives into Scripture. Next the book offers a fictional narrative that inspires our holy imagination to consider what it might have been like for the women who lived and walked with Jesus. This is followed by a virtue spotlight. The book then provides art from the Vatican Museums accompanied with a Visio Divina opportunity for contemplation. Lastly, there are questions for group discussion and a suggestion for virtue in action.
Dates: (second and fourth Fridays to eliminate conflicts with Adoration)
1/9 The Presentation
1/23 The Flight to Egypt
2/13 Discovery in the Temple
Interested? Please let Monica Stephenson (text to 910-494-9500) know if you would like to participate in the discussion group.
